Born in San Jose, California, James moved to Australia in 2001 to follow the call of God in a Christian mission. Born and raised in Mackay, Queensland, Paula pursued a career in community development. The couple met in 2002 while serving as Red Frog Chaplains at Schoolies week in Airlie Beach.

Shortly after they married, they began serving at Mackay Christian Family Church, overseeing Youth, Young Adults, Youth Alive and Extreme Youth Conference. After 8 years the Hensley’s relocated to Townsville to serve another 8 years at Calvary Christian Church, overseeing Calvary Leadership College and planting locations in Cairns and Rockhampton.

Passionate as ever about building the local church, the Hensley’s have a heart for the Moreton Region! Through genuine community and inspiring leadership they continue to lead Church Unlimited from strength to strength.
